Charging

Free

Graduate students from the University of Cambridge may book directly through the University booking system. However, all non-attendees will incur a penalty fee of £50.00 per day irrespectively, charged back to your responsible department or you personally should your department refuse to pay.

Full charge

A full charge of £100 per participant per day applies to all industry and business participants.

Concessionary charge

We offer a Concessionary charge of £50 per participant per day to:

1. All Staff members (including Postdocs) from the University of Cambridge who may book directly through the University booking system. Please be aware that a new charging policy has been put into place as from the 1st March 2016.

2. All Graduate students, Postdocs and Staff members from the following Affiliated Institutions who may book on any of our current courses using the external booking system.

In order to verify your association with any of these Institutes, we ask you to use your Institute's email address when booking (e.g. if your Institute is the EBI, your email address should end "@ebi.ac.uk").

3. Members of:

  • Non-affiliated University Institutions
  • Other Universities
  • Charity organisations
  • Public and government bodies including NHS and schools

In order to verify your association with an academic institute, we ask you to use your Institute's email address, wherever possible, when booking. This will allow us to apply the academic concessionary charge.

Registration fees for (1) and (2) above will be recovered at Departmental or Institutional level rather than individually. Please note it remains the participant's responsibility to acquire prior approval from the relevant group leader, line manager or budget holder to attend the course. It is requested that people booking only do so with the agreement of the relevant party as costs will be charged back to your Lab Head or Group Supervisor. Please select the 'concessionary' option when using a Raven ID.

Registration fees for (3) above will be recovered on an individual basis through the payment options below.

External Bookings

To book a place on any course currently on offer, follow the link to the individual course pages. From here you will be directed to the external booking system. Once you have booked a course, you will be sent an email confirmation which will have a link to the payment system.

How to Pay

There are two options for payment.

  • Using the online payment system which can be accessed via an email link sent on your confirmation email. You will need a debit/credit card to complete the payment.
  • If your University Institution is paying on your behalf, then you can request an invoice to be sent directly by providing a purchase order.
