Description

This interactive course is complementary to other courses within the Continuous Improvement theme and is designed to give delegates the knowledge and tools to;

  • plan and deliver process improvement workshops
  • coach and support others to improve processes
Target audience
  • All current Cambridge University staff (departments and colleges)
  • Further details regarding eligibility criteria are available
Prerequisites

Must have completed "Introduction to Lean in HE - Making Improvements in the Workplaceā€¯ course and bite-sized sessions, SIPOC, Six Thinking Hats and 5 Whys.

Objectives
  • To refresh your knowledge of Lean Tools and Techniques
  • To develop your knowledge of the workshop facilitation process
  • To challenge your knowledge of selecting the right tool or approach
  • To develop your knowledge of using an A3 Improvement Charter to support your planning
  • To provide tips for increasing your confidence when facilitating workshops
  • To know how to react when workshops don't go to plan
  • To develop your understanding of how to capture workshop outputs and develop next steps
  • To develop your coaching skills within a Continuous Improvement context to support and empower others to improve processes

  • Classroom based with interactive group work and experiential learning
