Preparing for Patients: Answering your literature searching, referencing, and critical reading questions

Description

This optional online drop-in session is a chance for students undertaking their Preparing for Patients project to ask questions about, and gain further support in literature searching, critical appraisal and evaluation of medical research, and referencing. Those who have booked a place will be sent a link to join the online session several days before their scheduled session takes place.

Prerequisites

A device with internet access.

Attendees should have worked through the lecture slides and transcript (uploaded to Moodle) and attempted to work through a literature search on their own. They should also first check if their questions have been answered on the editable Google document.

Format

An online drop-in session in which participants will have their questions answered with discussion, demonstrations and practicals.

System requirements

An internet enabled device.

Duration

One drop in session of an hour.
