CamTools: Getting Started Thu 11 Aug 2016   14:00 CANCELLED

CamTools is an online system used to create sites to support teaching, research, and collaboration. Within a CamTools site academics, students, administrators and guests can use a collection of online tools to collaborate, communicate and share resources.

Aimed at those looking for a general introduction to the system, this course covers all basic functions of CamTools and offers hands-on experience of running a site as an administrator. You will practice working with the most useful tools (uploading documents, updating a calendar, posting announcements etc), and managing a site (adding site members, creating groups etc). By the end of the course you will have developed a fully functioning CamTools site, populated with a standard set of tools.

The way that students’ academic information is structured in CamSIS is changing. A simplified Academic Structure will be introduced on Tuesday 20 February 2018 which means that some of the data about student courses and qualifications will be different.

Every member of staff around the Collegiate University who uses CamSIS needs understand and work with these changes. It is important that you complete this online training before 30 November.

It will take you between 10 and 30 minutes depending on how familiar you are with CamSIS data. There is a short quiz at the end of the training. You can come back to it anytime to refresh your understanding.

You can enter the course here: START
