Generative AI tools have great potential to increase research output and quality. They can be used to assist with:

• project conceptualisation
• research question development
• project management
• information search and organisation
• code writing
• data analysis
• and academic writing.

This hands-on workshop will provide you with the necessary literacies and skills to use AI technologies effectively and ethically as part of your research process.

This session will be facilitated by Dr Douglas Eacersall.

Douglas is a Senior Lecturer (Researcher Development and Applied AI) at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia. His research interests are in doctoral education, researcher development, and artificial intelligence (AI). He is a co/convenor of the Human-AI Collaborative Knowledgebase for Education and Research (HACKER), the Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher Symposium, the International Research and Writing League, and the International Doctoral Education Research Network (IDERN). In each of these initiatives, Douglas seeks to support researchers and foster their continual development.
