Mathematica: Basics New
Tue 21 Oct - Wed 22 Oct 2008
Description
This course is part of the Scientific Computing series.
Mathematica is a software package for numerical computation, symbolic manipulation and the production of graphics from mathematical functions and data. This course is for beginners and new users of the package and describes basic concepts and use of Mathematica.
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of matrix algebra and simple calculus (including simple ordinary differential equations (ODEs)) is assumed.
- Those attending should be able to use a plain text editor (e.g. emacs, gedit, pico, vi) on a Unix system as might be obtained from the Emacs or Vi introductory courses.
