CUL Leadership Network - Lightning Talk - Probation policy and processes in CUL New
This session aims to provide participants with an overview of the University policy in relation to probation. The CUL processes and paperwork will be explained, starting from the initial Welcome email through the confirming of the member of staff in post. The importance of this procedure to CUL will be discussed and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Key Objectives:
By the end of the session participants will:
Understand the University policy and CUL guidance for the probation procedure
Know the processes and paperwork that are in place to ensure the fair and transparent application of the policy
Recognise the importance of these processes in relation to staff engagement and retention
Understand in what instances a probation period may be extended or not confirmed
Know where to find further guidance following the session
To outline the University policy for probation procedures and how these are applied in CUL.
