Prerequisites

Be a designated fire warden or perform that role when required.

Objectives

By the end of the session, fire wardens should be able to:

  • Outline what the law requires and their role in assisting the University of Cambridge to meet its obligations
  • Explain their duties as a fire warden in relation to fire safety management in their own buildings
  • Describe the classes of fire
  • List the types of fire extinguisher and outline how to use them safely

To provide:

  • Information for fire wardens about their duties
  • A forum for discussion of issues and queries
