Off payroll worker update - May 2021 New
The off-payroll working rules have been in place since 2000 to ensure fairness between individuals who work in a similar way. They are designed to make sure that an individual who works like an employee, but through their own limited company, pays broadly the same Income Tax and National Insurance contributions as other employees. In April 2021 the rules have been amended and this brief update session will explain the changes and the impact on departments. Note - this session is an update and will not cover the basics of the off-payroll worker legislation, there will be sessions later in the year for this
