Business Improvement at Cambridge - Knowledge Sharing Seminar New
We are pleased to welcome colleagues from the Continuous Improvement Team at the University of Leicester. They have recognised that staff have to be in the “right place” (head and heart) to get involved and have been using some Creative Action Methods to help people engage imaginatively and build a safe community before starting improvement work.
During this session participants can expect to have fun, to connect with new people and gain some theory and practical techniques to support with overcoming lack of engagement and to help warm people up to contribute to lean activities and group work. Participants at the session will gain
- An understanding of the benefits of warm up to increase engagement of participants
- Practice in at least three techniques
- Ideas of how the techniques can be used
- A written guide to take away so that you can use the techniques to warm up teams
The session is all about gaining some good facilitation and coaching skills for you to utilise in your own work as well as how using playfulness and visual tools can help to engage others.
There will also be time at the end of the session to catch up with colleagues within the community
- Staff who have attended the Introduction to Lean in HE (Yellow Belt Equivalent) course
- Further details regarding eligibility criteria are available
