This is a classroom version of the How to Excel - Part 3 (For Finance staff) held at Greenwich House - All delegates will need to bring a laptop (docking stations, monitors, external keyboard and mice will be available in the room) Please note - there is no parking available at Greenwich House. The Madingley Park and Ride is a 15-minute walk and the Universal Bus stops on Madingley Road. The session will look at more advanced formulas and macros using the recorder and VBA tools. The formulas covered in this course include SUMIF and COUNTIF which will allow the user to quickly summarise data. Macros will enable the user to automate tasks within excel. During this session, we will use the example of needing to analyse, sort, split and send data to specific email contacts. Users will be introduced to a series of macros to reduce this process to a few simple steps. The session will run on Teams and delegates must be able to access Excel during the session |

The primary purpose of the training session will be to walk you through the booking process using Key Travel’s online portal. However, the session will also provide you with hints and tips on how to identify the best travel options for your requirements. |

This is a classroom version of the Budgeting 1: Introduction to Budgeting held at Greenwich House - All delegates will need to bring a laptop (docking stations, monitors, external keyboard and mice will be available in the room) Please note - there is no parking available at Greenwich House. The Madingley Park and Ride is a 15-minute walk and the Universal Bus stops on Madingley Road. This session introduces the theory and practice of budgeting, looking at why and how budgets can be set. Group exercises are used to prompt discussion around the types of costs that should be included in a budget and decision making when setting budgets. The session will give an overview of the budgeting process in the university and then focus in more detail on practical tools for day-to-day budgeting. Note: This session does not cover the detailed budgeting and rules relating to individual research grants. |
