The Linux System Administration (LPI and CompTIA) training course is designed to teach the key administration, security, networking and performance tasks required on a Linux Enterprise system.

- All current Cambridge University members (departments and colleges)
- University IT Support staff who are required to administer a Linux system as part of their role
- Further details regarding eligibility criteria are available
- This course assumes good knowledge of the Linux operating system in an enterprise environment.
- Alternatively, relevant experience of UNIX or Linux servers is required, preferably within an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of Linux Shell Programming would also be beneficial.

- On completion of this course the delegate will have the required technical knowledge to administer a Linux server within the enterprise.
- They will have gained practical experience of configuring administrative, networking, performance and security aspects of a Linux Enterprise system.
- The delegate will possess the essential knowledge required to study towards the Linux Administrator LPIC-1 and CompTIA Linux+ certifications.

Cancellations
This third-party course requires a minimum number of participants in order that it can run. Should that minimum number not be reached within 30 working days of the course, the course will be cancelled and any payments returned to participants. If the minimum number is met within 30 working days and a course participant cancels within the 30 working days of the course date, the participant will be liable for 100% of the course fee. In some circumstances the participant can put forward a replacement from their institution within this time frame.
