The Engaged Researcher: Cambridge Creative Encounters - Behind the Curtains New
Have you ever imagined how your research might look and sound on stage? This is your opportunity to explore the world of theatre playwriting together with professionals from Menagerie Theatre Company. One participant will have the exclusive opportunity to get a funded place in a workshop for young writers with the chance to see their writing performed before an audience during 'The Hotbed Theatre Festival'.

Structure: split into 3 Acts.
First Act - Setting the Scene: examples of stage writing and why they work; games and physical engagement; staring your research questions in the face; staring a colleague's research questions in the face.
Second Act - The Shape of Ideas: pair or group work drawing out the imagery and metaphors; individual work creating a scaffold, a route map or a set of milestones
Third Act - Writing and presenting - working individually to write a piece which draws all the workshop elements together, which might be read aloud.
Final Act - The reviews are out! Responding to others' work....
