This course is designed to help School of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Humanities staff involved in the research grant process to gain the knowledge and skills they’ll need to fulfil their role.

Target audience
  • School of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Humanities stakeholders that are involved in the research grant process from bid development to bid approval
Prerequisites
  • Please ensure that you have the permission of your line manager to attend
  • The Worktribe Train environment will be accessible with the logins given out in training for the full week after the week of attendance for staff to practice in

Objectives
  • To upskill staff on Worktribe so that they feel confident and comfortable in using the new system to create a project and produce a costing for an application
Aims
  • After attending the training, stakeholders will be able to complete the following within Worktribe
    • Create a project
    • Add a budget
    • Add a partner
    • Request a contract
    • Add comments specifically addressed to an individual
    • Add a document
    • Approve the project and understand the approval process
    • Amend details of the project

  • Presentations, demonstrations and practicals
System requirements
  • Please bring your own laptop with you. Desktop computers are not provided by the venue
  • VPN access to log in to Worktribe
  • Important: The instructor cannot troubleshoot access to Microsoft Teams or VPN access to Worktribe on the day of the course.
