This course gives a simple introduction to organizing your data in a relational database. It aims to explain the arranging of your data. It does not deal with specific relational databases systems such as Access, Oracle or SQL Server, or the technical tools that you would or could use to set up your database. The course aims to provide you with enough information to sit down and design your database, regardless of the database product that you intend to use. This session will provide:- 10.00 - 10.30 - a presentation from Trish Gallagher (Student Services Centre Support Team Manager) about the fees paid to examiners, how they should be determined (including use of the calculator) and an opportunity to ask questions. 10.30 - 11.00 - a presentation from Michelle Batty (HR Manager, Casual Worker Team) about CCWS, covering registration, making a booking and approving a timesheet with particular emphasis on undergraduate examiners and assessors. 11.00 - 12.00 - an opportunity for individual 1:1 support or questions with members of the HR Systems Helpdesk and Casual Worker HR Team Attendees may wish to participate in the whole session or follow the timings above if they have a particular interest/request for support. |
