Bridging the gap from research to practice: Writing to Engage Series - Editing Skills
New

Wed 23 Jun 2021

Description

Time is tight and people are busy, so how do you get an audience for YOUR research? This course will help you sum up your research in a two-minute - or 250-word - "elevator pitch" profile, which you can go on to use as a blueprint for all other communication, whether it's a biography on the university homepage, a media pitch or a letter to a policymaker or collaborator. You will learn how to engage audiences from the opening sentence, what to include (and avoid), and how to think about your research goals in a clearer, simpler way. The interactive session will give you an opportunity to find out what works for you... and what doesn't.
