Masterclass: Managing Your Research in an Uncertain World new Finished 13:00 - 14:00 Phoenix 2, Phoenix Building, New Museums Site

Join us to find out how you can make sense of the level of uncertainty you are faced with in your projects in research and beyond. The term VUCA has been used to describe an uncertain world and the level of change we are experiencing in our work and broader life. The environmental changes we have all experienced recently has highlighted the importance of understanding our contextual landscape and mitigate negative impact on our research.

We will cover:

- Defining our uncertain world using VUCA? We will explore the meaning of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity within the context of research. - How can we respond to an uncertain world: We will identify specific solutions which can help us navigate our uncertain and VUCA world, help us mitigate negative impacts on our research and inspire us to seize new opportunities. - The art of developing a VUCA-proof mindset: We will explore three specific approaches and solutions which can help us become more resilient, tackle change in a positive manner and maximise our research impact.

The masterclass, designed and presented by Natacha Wilson from Cambridge Insights will include a mix of evidence- based frameworks and best practice.
