Description

Asbestos Awareness training is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 for anyone who could foreseeably disturb asbestos while carrying out their normal, everyday work and for their supervisors who influence how such work is carried out.

Target audience
  • General maintenance staff, electricians, heating, ventilation and telecommunications engineers and IT installers together with their supervisors (including cleaning supervisors) and laboratory managers
  • Further details regarding OHSS’ eligibility criteria are available

Objectives
  • To cover the properties of asbestos, its effects on health, where it could be found in buildings

Notes

Asbestos Awareness Refresher Training is available for those who have attended Asbestos Awareness Training. The Asbestos Awareness Refresher Workshop is for those who have attended Asbestos Awareness Training and Asbestos Awareness Refresher Training.
