This online workshop is the second in a three-part series that has been designed to support staff in investigating, understanding and addressing the awarding gaps in their courses, Departments or Colleges.

The session will cover reasons for the awarding gaps drawn from U.K higher education sector, with updated information about changes to awarding gaps following the pandemic. Findings from internal and student-lead research into the reasons for the awarding gaps will be shared, and then participants will be given opportunities to analyse their own internal information and develop a clearer understanding of the multiple factors that might impact their students' academic performance and eventual degree classification, on topics ranging from assessment, representation in the curriculum, college-based educational experiences and learning environments. This session will pave the way for the 3rd in the series, where participants will develop their own project or initiative.

For more information about the workshop programme, or to enquire about a bespoke presentation to your local Faculty, Department or College committees or working groups, please contact Dr Ruth Walker (CCTL) if you have any questions about the seminars or related resources.
