Negotiation and Influencing Skills

Description

Do you consider yourself a good influencer or negotiator? When is it appropriate to negotiate and what are some of the key principles and skills that can enhance your influencing skills?

This interactive and participatory session will introduce you to key principles of influencing and negotiation that can be applied in day-to-day workplace situations and interactions and provide an opportunity to practice some of these skills in the session.

This training is provided free of charge to postgraduate researchers, however, the cost of providing the course is £30 per participant.

Target audience

Researchers (PhD and Postdocs) – any discipline

Prerequisites

Please note that late comers will not be admitted 1 hour after the workshop has started. If you are late you may be refused entry.

This workshop is run by an external trainer and places are limited. If you are unable to attend please ensure you cancel your place, or contact us at researcher.development@admin.cam.ac.uk, at least 24hrs in advance so we can allocate your place to another student.
