Cultural Awareness and Living in Britain This practical seminar provides a further opportunity for participants to learn more about key aspects of living in Britain. As in the previous seminar (Michaelmas Term 2018), it will focus on the intercultural understanding needed to study and work successfully within the University environment; it will also focus more widely on aspects of British life and culture, considering any topics (e.g. tourism, history, politics, class, customs) that participants would like to discuss, and drawing where possible on their impressions and experiences. Those who attended the previous seminar are welcome, and all participants are encouraged to email any questions or particular areas of interest in advance to Sheila Dodds (smd48).
