Web Authoring: Introduction to HTML (Level 1)
Prerequisites

Description

This is a practical-based course for people new to writing Web pages. Only the basics of HTML (hypertext markup language) will be covered, but there are other courses for those wishing to extend their knowledge. By the end of the course participants will have created three personal linked web pages.

Prerequisites

The course is suitable for anyone who is familiar with at least one Web browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox etc.

  • The practical work will be done on PCs unless otherwise specified, although the course is platform independent and therefore suitable also for Mac and Unix users.
  • If you would like to take away a copy of the Web page you create, please bring a floppy disk or a USB memory stick (if you can logon to your PWF account, you will have an opportunity to set up your Web pages on that account).
