This course will cover the use of Falcon Content Management Service by content and site managers.

Please note: Falcon on Plone will be migrating to Falcon-on-Drupal over the the 2019-2020 academic year. Do you want to preview the Outlook 365 Desktop getting started course which we are launching for your users in order for you to better support them and answer their questions ahead of the migration?

Want to extend your knowledge of Teams? Then join us to learn how to use applications to record notes, create a Wiki, manage a small project and create online forms or surveys. This is Part 3 of 4 courses that provide you the opportunity to get a hands on and in-depth insight into Teams.

Please note that the course is taught using Microsoft Teams and you must have Teams installed on your computer to participate.

You will:

  • Know how to add documents and apps in a tab and when you might benefit from using them.
  • Practice using applications that you need to work with i.e. Connectors, OneNote, Wiki, Planner, Forms and Lists.

If you book:

  • Install the Microsoft Teams app. (It is possible to join using Edge or Chrome but there is less functionality when using a browser).

New to online collaboration? This course aims to take the mystery out of managing your files online, syncing these to your computer and introduces a few useful functions that you may not have discovered.

Please note that the course is taught using Microsoft Teams and you must have Teams installed on your computer to participate.

You will:

  • Learn various online file management techniques and understand SharePoint storage
  • Use the assistive technologies within Teams
  • Gain a few tips to speed your work

If you book:

  • Add the event to your calendar by following the link in your booking confirmation email and click Add to Calendar.

Want to practice giving Teams Live Events? Then join us in this informal introductory session to manage and deliver a webinar. The course is not about presentation skills, it is to master the mechanics of managing the smooth transition between different presenters and content. The maximum number of participants for this course is limited to 2.

You must have the following items installed or available on your computer to participate:

1. The Teams desktop app installed on your computer.
2. The Teams Calendar available on the Teams interface. (You must be using Microsoft Exchange Online for your email to enable the Teams Calendar). Details on how to migrate from Hermes to Exchange can be found here.
3. The button on the Teams Calendar interface necessary to create a Teams Live Event. (To enable the button on your system you need to request the ability to create Live Events via the Self Service portal). Note! this can take up to 48 hours for the change to come into effect.

You will also need a working webcam, speakers (or headset) and mic.

This is Part 1 of 4 courses that provide you the opportunity to get a hands on and in-depth insight into Teams.
